Norma Jane Deuser (Goff), 93, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was born on October 19, 1930, in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Guy Goff and Dorothy Goff (Campbell).
She is survived by her son, Ricky Deuser (Pam); her three granddaughters, Tina Grace (Chris), Terri-Lynn Simpson (Steve), and Tracy Gardner (Eddie); her grandson, Nathan Mason; her sister, Mary Jo Hoffman (Fritz); her great-grandchildren, Samantha Deuser, Shelby Kerr (Cody), Cody Strong (Brianna), Ashley Varney (Amanda), Kayln Davenport (Erin), Peyton Gardner, Reece Gardner, and Stephen Simpson; her great-great-grandchildren Brantley, Brayden, Mason, Madilyn, Benson, and Jayce, and countless other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Deuser; her sons, Terry and Robert Deuser II; her daughter-in-law Opal Deuser; her brothers Charles, Harold, Grover, and her twin, Homer Goff.
Norma, best known by those who loved her as GG, was a kind soul with the best heart. She devoted most of her life to caring for multiple generations of her family, treated every child like they were angels, and never met a stranger. Her passions included spending time with her family, cooking, and watching her stories, Days of Our Lives and The Young and The Restless. GG was also a proud member of Cherry Street Church of Christ. She lived her life with radical empathy, generosity, and pure love. She will be dearly missed, but we are all changed for the better for knowing her.
A visitation for Norma will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
