Omer E. Freiberger

Omer E. Freiberger, 83, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Omer was born July 8, 1938 in Floyds Knobs, Indiana to the late George and Agnes Renn Freiberger. He was retired from Duke Energy and was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in his garden and being outside. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by seven siblings, Willis Freiberger, Geneva Gullett, Cletus Freiberger, Vincent Freiberger, Wilfred Freiberger, Evans Freiberger and Melvin Freiberger. Omer is survived by wife of 57 years, Lynne Freiberger; three children, Amy (Robert) Denison, Aaron (Louisa) Freiberger and Austen (Thyda) Freiberger; grandchildren, Rachel Denison, Daniel Denison and Remi Freiberger; a brother, Eugene Freiberger; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation for Omer will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. His funeral service will be Monday, January 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in St. Mary of the Knobs Cemetery.
