Obituary of Patrick Michael Banet
Patrick Michael Banet, 76, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. The son of the late James Marcus and Alginet Mary Best Banet, Pat was born March 31, 1945, in New Albany. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from L&N/CSX Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a talented woodworker, avid Euchre player, and active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Pat is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Paris Banet; daughters, Heather Quillet (Chris), Jessica Blake (Brandon), and Ashley Knable (Isaac); grandchildren, Jackson and Augustine Riggle, Beau and Harlan Blake, and Grace, Charlotte, and Hattie Knable; beloved first cousin, Mary Helen Scott; and honorary mother and grandmother, Claudia Crump. He also leaves behind his dear Euchre club members, travel friends, and family. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany, with burial and military honors following at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
