Phillip Morton Whiteman, age 80, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Traditions at Hunters Station. Phillip was born in New Albany, Indiana on February 7, 1943 to the late Morton Whiteman and Mary Ellen Wells Bays. He was retired from Colgate and was a veteran in the United States Army. He loved hunting, fishing and was one of the oldest member of Georgetown Conservation Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Whiteman; and a brother, Paul Whiteman.
Phillip is survived by two children, Stephanie Whiteman and Phil Whiteman; a granddaughter, Alex (Cody) Mayrose; a grandson, Chace Whiteman; and a great grandson, Cade Mayrose.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the funeral home with private entombment to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
