Obituary of Phyllis Morrow
Phyllis Ann Morrow, 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born on December 17th, 1952, to the late Charles and Jessie Mae (Smith) Long. She was a former employee of LG&E where she worked until her retirement after 42 years of dedicated and faithful service. She enjoyed shopping, Bingo, sweets, scratch-off lottery tickets and the occasional trip to the casino. She was a lively and spunky person and even throughout her illness, she maintained her spunkyness. She enjoyed spending time with her family and would do anything for them that she could without them ever having to ask. During family gatherings, we could always count on her humor to put us all in good spirits even in the gloomy moments. Phyllis was a woman who always spoke her mind and whether you liked what she had to say or not, just know that it all came from a place of love. She was direct and to the point and did not mince her words. She had a magnetic personality that drew people to her. She would often smile and laugh about how strangers would strike up conversations with her when she was out and about and they would talk to her as if she were an old friend of theirs. She was truly a loveable person who always had something funny to say and it was the combination of wisdom, knowledge, candor, and humor that made everyone love her. She was one of a kind and there will never be another like her. Phyllis is Preceded in death by her husband Joe Morrow, Sister Naomi Stubbins, Brothers Charles David and Kenneth Long, and son Jeffrey Morrow. Phyllis is survived by her Daughter Jackee Redd (Tyyu), Sons Marshaun Long (Alicia), Patrick Morrow (Camiki) and Joe Wade Morrow (Tarasha), 16 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
