PHYLLIS A. (GRAHAM) NICKELL, 85 years of age, died Thursday, January 12, 2012. The daughter of the late Frank and Effie (Burton) Graham, Phyllis was born March 29, 1926 in Rochester, Indiana. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Pierce.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 65 years: Willis E. Nickell; daughter: Joyce Simko (Tim); son: Steve Nickell (Jan); brother and sister-in-law: Cecil and Bonnie Nickell; 5 grandchildren: Lynda Aranowski (Jon), Susan Whitesel (Troy), Nancy Mastagh (Chad), J.W. Nickell (Chelsy) and Jeffrey Nickell (Kaycee); and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
