Ralph Herman Boling

Ralph Herman Boling, 99 years of age died Monday, October 17, 2016 in New Albany, Indiana. He was born June 8, 1917 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Horatio Seymour and Dorsie (Sanders) Boling. He retired as a woodworker at General Plywood and from retail sales at the old Value City Department Store. He served our country as an Army veteran during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Young Boling; son, Ellis Dean Boling; and brothers, Harold, Howard, William, and Warren Boling. Survivors include his sons, Edwin J. Boling (Margaret), Monty L. Boling (Kristy); daughter, Juanita Schickel; daughter-in-law, Mary Boling; brother, Frank Boling (Jeanette); sisters, Dorothy Hopkins, Nancy Gilstrap, Barbara Knight, Dixie Lee Lyles; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2016 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
