Robert "Bob" Collins, 97, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30th, 2025. He was born on December 10th, 1927, to the late Willard F. Collins and Myrtle Langdon Collins. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army. He built a successful career with Phillip Morris, where he worked until his well-earned retirement. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where he formed lasting relationships.
Bob leaves behind an unwavering love for sports that colored every chapter of his long life. From the time he was a boy, he found joy in every corner of the sporting world. Throughout his life, he attended countless sporting events and was happy to bring anyone along for the fun. Family, friends, and neighbors often share fond memories of attending sporting events with Bob. Watching and cheering from his couch in later years kept him energized and connected. In his retirement, his obsession was Golf. He played nearly every day. He and his brother, Neal, enjoyed the calm of a very early morning tee time and spent countless mornings chasing the perfect shot. Beyond his love of sports, Bob had a profound love for the American West. The open skies, rugged mountains, lakes, and prairies called to him year after year. He made treasured memories exploring National Parks, hiking through canyons, and soaking in the beauty of the landscapes that left him in awe.
