Robert Anthony Lewen Jr.

Robert worked for Lewen Line Construction Company before retiring. A faithful member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, he found strength in his faith and was devoted to his family throughout his life.

Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, playing softball and bowling, gathering with family and friends for a game of euchre, and cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears. His warm personality, sense of humor, and love for those around him created countless cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mona Lewen, and his brother, Wayne Lewen.

He leaves to cherish his memory his six children, Robert A. Lewen III (Chris), Wendy L. Lewen-Angelakos, Dustin Lewen (Mary), Doug Lewen (Wendy), Greg Lewen (Nikkita), and Liz Lewen (Savannah); his grandchildren, Samantha Decker, Cody Lewen, Charly Jo Storckman (Max), Leslie Taylor Lee Lewen (Mikki), Douglas B. Lewen Jr. (Savannah), Chayce Lea McNew (Caleb), Martin W. Lewen, Abby Gayle Lewen, Lilian C. Lewen, Lana Lewen, Liberty Lewen, and Liam Lewen; five great-grandchildren, Bowen Storkman, Ace McNew, Octavia Lewen, Ezra Lewen, and Poppi McNew; his sister, Sandy Marsik (Glenn); three nieces, Nikki Lewen (Mike), Traci Hlado (Eric), and Kelly Grannes (Bill); two nephews, Chris Marsik (Sarah) and Wayne Lewen; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss him.

Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Robert's life will be held at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 415 East 8th Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Robert will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his hardworking spirit, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
