Robert Eugene Rush

Robert E. Rush died peacefully with his wife, Carol, by his side on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 72. He lived in Briny Breezes, Fl where he enjoyed his time riding around the community in his golf cart, spending time at Pelican Point, and catching up with the snowbirds. He loved to build LEGO cars. He was formerly from New Albany, IN. Born May 31, 1953, in Joliet, IL, to Florence and Ralph Rush, he grew up in Wilmington, IL. Friends introduced him to Carol, and they married on August 20, 1983. Bob worked for Kentuckiana Yacht Sales in Jeffersonville for many years in the parts department. Deciding to go to college, he went to DeVry and received an associate degree in Computer Technology. With that skill, he worked for several computer sales companies before working in the IT department for Aegon in Louisville, KY. Retiring did not stop him. He went to work as the Administrative Assistant at his church, Memphis Christian in Memphis, IN. He attended Boynton Beach Community Church in Florida and remained a member of Memphis Christian Church. Bob is survived by his wife Carol Rush, daughter Sara (Ken) Smith, grandchildren Kenneth Smith, Kaleb Smith, and Kayden Smith, and brothers Denny (Mary) Rush and Jay (Eve) Rush. We remember those who went before him: his parents, Ralph and Florence Rush, brother Roger Rush, and sister Teri Lynn Rush.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Colbert officiating.
