

ROGER DALE LASLIE, SR., Sr., 66, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. The son of the late Willard and Frankie Compton Laslie, Roger was born June 9, 1950 in Brandenburg, Kentucky. He was a truck mechanic and veteran of the U.S. Army. Roger was also a member of American Classics Car Club, National Street Rod Association, American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, the Sellersburg Moose Lodge, and was an avid hunter. Roger loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and working on his street rods; however, his family and friends were most precious to him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Diane Higgins Laslie; children, Monica Watson (Troy), Melanie Laslie, Stacy Clark (Troy), and Roger D. Laslie, Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren, Shelby, Garret, Tre, Zachary, Madeline, Sydney, and Naomi; and 3 siblings.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
His family requests that expressions of sympathy in memory of Roger be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Ronald McDonald House.
