I've been trying to condense everything I wanted to say since I heard of Buzz's decline and passing. It's been tough. Ultimately, I decided to say it with someone else's (much better) words that will forever remind me of Buzz and the memories he left with me.

"...you were only waiting for this moment to be free. Blackbird fly, blackbird fly. Into the light of the dark black night."

I don’t know if Mr. Wright was the original owner of the Tumbleweed on Vincennes Street in New Albany, but if so, I was one of his original customers. I haven’t seen him since the old Tumbleweed on Mellwood Avenue.
My sincere condolences to him, or if it’s not the Ronald Wright I so fondly remember, my heart goes out to those of the deceased.

Though time and distance have separated us in the recent past, Buzz will always be remembered as an inspiration during 2 very important stages of our lives. As the free thinking teenager who shared the amazing music of the 60s , 70s and beyond by listening, playing and creating the soundtrack of our existence. I hear a song and I see Buzz. Then stage 2, as we evolved into the grownup world of business where and things got more serious but behind those scenes the music never quit, and never will. When the music plays, I know I will always remember Buzz.

Peace be with you.

Living away from New Albany, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Buzz. But each time we met up, it was like I had never been away. I'm very grateful for Frank and Bev Rice, and Dave and Gina Thomas for caring for Buzz and overseeing his affairs during his illness.

I'm going to miss you Buzz.

I have many, but...The Saturday morning he knocked on our apartment door. He woke me up and when I opened the door he held up an album and said, 'I got it! Let's listen to it!!!" It was Sgt. Pepper....R.I.P. Bussie...
