Ruth A. Chinn

Ruth A. Chinn, 87, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away July 10, 2021 at Beehive Homes of Georgetown surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1933 in New Amsterdam, Indiana to the late Clyde and Virgie Funk. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a teacher's assistant at Pineview Elementary and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Sherrell; a brother, Darryl Funk and a sister, Shirley Brown.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 72 years, John "Bill" Chinn; a daughter, Sharon Cadle; a son, Ray Chinn; grandchildren, Shelly (Dale) Voyles, B.J. (Lynn) Cadle, Cortney (Jeff) Johnson, Tyler (Alison) Sherrell, Stacey Solomon, Stephanie Chinn, Billy (Kat) Chinn and Marshall (Jessica) Cleveland; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; bonus grandson, Travis Funk; and three brothers, Ralph (Violet) Funk, Larry (Jane) Funk and Gary Funk as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
