Ruth Ann Corrao

RUTH ANN CORRAO, 80 years of age died Friday, January 14th 2011 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. She was born January 12, 1931 in New Albany to the late William “Bud” and Edith Renshaw. Ruth was the 1947 National Girls Champion in bowling and was the office manager for Dr. Johan Jensen in Louisville for over 30 years. She was a member of VFW Hobart Beach Post #1693 Ladies Auxiliary and Holy Family Catholic Church, where she was a founding member of the Parish Council. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Philip J. Corrao.

Survivors include two sons, Pete Corrao (Suzanne) of New Albany, Indiana, Bill Corrao (Karie) of Dandridge, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Philip Corrao (Kari), Christina Tumbleson (Matt), Spencer Corrao, Tony Corrao, Justin Corrao (Lindsy), Ashley Hendrick (Chris) and Drew Corrao; and four great grandchildren, Josie, Conner, Reagan, and Samantha.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to her church or the Providence Football Program.
