Samuel D. Smith

Samuel D. Smith, 82, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Samuel was born October 23, 1939 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Castria Smith. He was retired from Hillerich & Bradsby Company (H&B) with over 30 years of service and also Buffalo Trace Park. He was an avid golfer, helping his son on the farm and being with his family.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Sam is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alice Smith; children, Cindy Sams, Becky (Matt) Shannon, Tim Smith, Doug Smith, Wendy (Jeff) Skeeters and Shannon (Christy) Duncan; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Samuel will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150 and on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
