Sandra Potts Bedan

Sandra Potts Bedan, age 84, of New Albany, Indiana formerly of Palmyra, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1940 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Walter and Sylvia Potts. She was retired from the United States Census Bureau and ICI. She was a lifelong member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and the Lions Club in Martinsburg, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Bedan; son, Paul (Barbara) Emery; a grandson, Joshua Puckett; a granddaughter, Ashley Wilson; a great grandson, Jayson Randall and two sons-in-law, Mike Sappenfield and David Wilson Sr.

Sandra is survived by six children, Cynthia (Doug) Weaver, Darcy Wilson, Tracy (Ronald) Dues, Robin Sappenfield, Theresa (Chuck) Grubbs and Kelly (Phillip) Puckett; four step children, Richard (Fran) Bedan, Penny Swallows, Kelly Bedan and Tracy Bedan; twenty grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn (Jim) Seiler and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 15, 2025 and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, June 16, 2025 at the funeral home with private burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.

Expressions of sympathy expressions of sympathy are suggested to Southern Care Hospice or Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Autumn Woods Memory Care Unit for their love and care over the last five years.
