

She was born in New Albany, Indiana to Byron Green and Laverne (Rudolph) Burrell. She retired from Pillsbury Company after 38 years of dedicated service. Sharon adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon loved to travel the world with her late husband. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Baptist Floyd Hospital, and spending time with her friends. She had been a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jeffersonville and a long time member of St. Marks United Church of Christ.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Lucian "Val" Polk; niece, Jamie Knight; and her son in law, Chris Flowers.
Sharon is survived by her children, Johnny (Shana) Kellams, Michael (Karen) Kellams, Heidi Flowers, and Robert (Johanna) Polk; grandchildren, Lindsay Kellams-Chin, Alaina Kellams, Lily Kellams, Johnny Kellams, Ashley (Bryan) Ewald, Hunter Flowers, Casey (Zach) Whitis, Cortney Polk, and Cody Polk; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Cooper and Connie (Ron) Booker and two nephews.
Sharon's visitation will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service at 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
