Sharon accepted Christ at an early age, and from the beginning of her life in Christ, she was faithful in His service until health challenges altered her ability to carry on. She was active in ministry from Howard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Emmanuel Harvester, Louisville Covenant, then, most recently, Canaan Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky...faithful in service.
Sharon attended schools through the New Albany-Floyd County school corporation, graduating from New Albany High School on June 10, 1971. She furthered her education later, attending Louisville Technical Institute, and received her Associate's Degree in Interior Design on October 11, 2008, and later, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.
To know Sharon was to know the genuine love of God. Her light was so bright, and she loved intentionally. She touched more lives than we will ever know, and her VERY PRESENCE lit up a room. Her contagious smile, strong hugs, and warm embraces...indescribable.
Ministry Activity: She enjoyed her time serving as a member of Howard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active in youth and young adult choirs, and member of the Missions Ministry Women’s Softball Team, Louisville Covenant Church, where she became an active member of the Dance Ministry; Charter Member of Keith Hunter and the Witness for Christ Choir, and most recently, a committed member of Canaan Christian Church, participating as a charter member of the original Dance Ministry, and an active member of the Levitical Choir.
Many remember Sharon from her employment with Kroger Company (Jeffersonville Store), where she worked hard and diligently, until her health no longer allowed her to.
Sharon loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a talented seamstress and made various clothing attire, and alterations for family and others, including praise garments for Canann’s Dance Ministry over the years. She was an excellent bowler, and participated on a couple of bowling teams.
Sharon was a priceless treasure to her family, neighbors, friends, co-laborers in Christ, and whoever had the privilege to meet her. Her jovial and delightful spirit will be missed, remembered and no doubt, never forgotten.
Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend...greatly valued, dearly loved FOREVER.
