Sheila Sherrell, age 87, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Sheila was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 8, 1936 to the late Earl and Isabell Sheets. She was a retired LPN at Green Valley Convalescent Center for many years. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and traveling with her late husband, Lee.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sherrell.
Sheila is survived by her children, Rebecca Breeden, Doug Sherrell (Susan), Scott Sherrell (Brandi) and Lea Ann Sherrell (Steve Summers); three sisters, Shirley Swanson-Jones (Bob), Anna Luhrsen (John) and Linda Reed (Kevin); grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell (Jeremy), Ryane Edsall (Zach), Elliott Hess (Blair), Matt Briscoe, Derek Sherrell (Emily), Nick Briscoe (Hannah), Emily Gayhart (Chris), Garrett Sherrell and Grace Sherrell; great grandchildren, Kaylee Mitchell, Sam Mitchell, Jonas Edsall, Miller Edsall, Ella Hess, Hadley Sherrell, Lucy Sherrell, Eleanor Sherrell, Hannah Young, Reid Gayhart, Lee Briscoe and Molly Gayhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Sheila will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
