Sheila A. (Lawhorn) Wilson

Sheila A. (Lawhorn) Wilson, 71, passed away December 30, 2021. The daughter of the late Margaret Juanita Barton and William Woodrow Lawhorn, Sr,. Sheila was born March 13, 1950 in New Albany IN. She previously worked at the U.S. Census Bureau and then as a Special Needs Aide. Since 1987, she had been very involved with the Clark-Floyd Special Olympics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in by her husband of 50 years, Paul L. Wilson, and a brother, John Lawhorn.

Sheila is survived by her children, Reba Wright (Kory), Paula Sneed (Mike), and Laura McGorty (Michael); 6 grandchildren, Kody, Cheyenne, Jessica (Paul), Shaylan, Kaitlan, and Makala; 1 great grandchild, C.J.; brothers, Bill, Robert, and Sidney Lawhorn; sisters, Wanda Wheeler and Alice Alexander; and her Special Olympics family.

Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany IN. Her Funeral Service will be 1 pm Saturday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
