Stephen "Steve" E. Johnson, 52, of Jeffersonville, passed away on March 21, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. Stephen was born on July 27, 1973, to John Murray and Rebecca (Johnson) Stamper. He grew up in Seymour, Indiana, where he attended and graduated from high school. Steve attended college to be an Audio Engineer and previously worked with Axxis Incorporated in Louisville, Kentucky.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, John Murray.
Steve is survived by his mother, Rebecca Stamper; his loving wife, Angela "Angie" (Harrison) Johnson; and his wonderful daughters, Dharma and Matilda Johnson.
He enjoyed Jujitsu, music, songwriting, singing, and playing a guitar.
A life that was too short came to an end; he died as he lived, a friend to all.
"What a long, strange trip it's been."
A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana, on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
