Stephen Lane Zimmerman

Stephen Lane Zimmerman, 72, of New Albany, Indiana passed away June 10, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born on March 13, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Loren and Hazel Emmerson Zimmerman. He was retired from Sellersburg Stone Company. He was a fantastic baseball player and it was one of his favorite things in life. Go Yankees!! He was a life long Southern Indiana resident and never met a stranger. He was a loud fast talker who knew how to have a good time, especially with his lifelong childhood friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Zimmerman. Steve is survived by four daughters, Amy (Keith) Banet, Cari (Brian Bott) Zimmerman, Jordan Zimmerman and Erin Zimmerman; and grandchildren, Grace (Jordan Sweet) Banet, Alex Banet, Ethan Zimmerman, Joshua "Aiden" Dunn, Alexandria Dunn, Axel Wells and Ashlyn Wells. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
