I remember Steve when my brother Mike and I lived in Blackiston Heights we had a big back yard and Steve and some of the local kids would come and play basketball  and baseball all summer and in the fall.  Good times were always with all of us when Steve was there and also I briefly worked with Steve at Walnut Ridge when my place of employment had some bad times and cut our hours my prayers to his family RIP my friend you will be missed

I enjoyed my years of knowing and working with Steve (and a few in there with Chris).   Steve was a good man.  My condolences to the family.

My sympathy to this family.  His family of origin lived in the same subdivision we live in.   Steve was older than my children so I didn't know him growing up.  However, I have had many years of contact with him at Walnut Ridge Landscape.  He  was always so kind, made time for me and my needs, and was prompt in providing services to us.   He will certainly be missed.

I remember Steve from Purdue. We were both majoring in horticulture and I was Sue’s roommate and best friend!  Steve was always smiling and a fun big brother!  I’ll never forget the time Sue and I hid Steve’s roommate’s pet rat in our dorm room.  Memories of Steve always make me smile. Rest In Peace. I know you will be missed. Take care Sue. Anne 

Played basketball with Steve and was a classmate at Clarksville High School. Many classes together. My sincere condolences to the Family.

Steve was a childhood neighbor and friend. We all played many games of basketball at the neighborhood backyard courts, including his own. Every so often I would run into him.  My memories of Steve were of a soft-spoken, kind man.  My condolences go out to all family and friends mourning his loss.  

Steve was always an incredibly supportive JHS tennis parent to Brian, and would always stop and talk to the players -- even after difficult matches. He will be very much missed -- condolences to Brian, Libby, and the rest of the McCreight family. 

Over years of tennis matches, tournaments, and clinics, I have nothing but fond memories of Mr. McCreight, who always brought a welcoming greeting and a friendly word. To Libby, to Chris & Brian, your whole family -- I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember going to my first Purdue BoilerMaker football game with Steve and family.  It was cold and rainy and utterly miserable weather but that did little to dampen Steve’s spirits.  I am saddened by his untimely passing and will cherish the memories I have of my joyful, full-of-life, caring Uncle.  May you rest in peace.

Such a kind and loving family man, gone too soon.  We love you and will miss you dearly, Steve.  Heaven surely has one that so many of us would’ve wished to keep here with us longer.  Rest easy brother.
