Sylvia retired from Chase Bank in Louisville after 30 years and currently was a part-time employee at Goodwill in Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Cooke.
Survivors include her son, Roger Hood of New Albany; stepson, Michael Cooke (Kathy) of Lanesville; mother, Mary Jo McGary of Louisville; sister, Carolyn Gibson (Ed) of Louisville; grandchildren, Katie, Lucas, Sladen, Ivy and Sydney.
Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Saturday.
