SYLVIA JEAN (DORTON) GRIFFIN, 65, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born February 15, 1949 to the late Emanuel and Dorothy Cornell Dorton. Sylvia was a member of the New Albany Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Harley and Michenzie.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Marshall Griffin, Sr.; children, Marsha White, Dallas Griffin, Jr. (Shauna), Tim Griffin (Stacey), Amy Hopkins and
Jason Griffin (Bridget); sisters, Frances Taylor and Joyce Watkins; brothers, Fritz, David, Billy and Keith Dorton; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Saturday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial to follow in Edwardsville Cemetery, Georgetown IN.
