Terry is survived by his wife, Claudia Lynn Seward; daughter Kristen Seward; daughter Kara Seward (Jonathan Power); two step granddaughters; and brothers Scott Seward (Gail), John Seward (Debbie), and Bill Schideler (Bonnie). He is predeceased by his father, Robert M. Seward I, Mother, Mary Ellen Winks-Seward; son Terry L. Seward II; brothers Robert M. Seward II, Richard Seward, and James "Jim" Seward.
Terry was born on November 24, 1943, in Englewood, Illinois to Robert M. Seward I and Mary E. Seward. He was a loving father to three children. Terry served in the United States Air Force from 1961 - 63. Throughout his life, he lived in eight states working in food service distribution and sales. He loved traveling throughout the country and visited more than 20 national parks. While traveling and at home, he enjoyed photography. His love of birds and animals was evident in his photos. While living in Palmyra, Ind., Terry was an active member of the Edwardsville United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, and a Team Leader of their kitchen ministry for Christ's Kitchen for 5 years. He also volunteered for the Chicken Barbeques, October Fests and many other events of the church.
He will be missed by those closest to him.
A memorial service will be held at Kraft Funeral Home at 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Ind., on January 31st at 2pm. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12pm-2pm. A second memorial service will be scheduled in Glen Arbor, Mich., where the Seward families spend their summers.
