

Theresa L. “Sarge” Beyerle, 66, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013. She was one of three children born to Kathleen (Little) and Jack Edward Beyerle Sr. She was born November 3, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana. After high school Theresa enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and served her country proudly until her discharge in 1973. She was trained in communications and was assigned to jobs with top secret clearance while being stationed in Alabama, Kansas, Germany and Washington D.C. While in Germany she visited Ireland, Holland, Belgium and France. Her favorite was Germany saying that the people were quite friendly. Theresa was formerly employed at ACBL dispatching barges on the river and was the first woman operator at ACBL. She most recently retired from TMSI also in Jeffersonville, Indiana and she was a member of Church of Christ in Clarksville. Preceding Theresa in death was her father Jack Edward Beyerle, Sr.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen (Little) Beyerle; sister, Sharon Wells and husband Jim; brother, Jack Beyerle and wife Therese; nephews and niece, David Wells, John Wells (Jennifer), Michael Beyerle (Jill) and Michelle Beyerle; great nephews, Luke, Logan, Dakota and Aiden; great nieces, Hannah, Ashton, Addison and Kendall.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday with military honors at the Kraft Spring St. Chapel. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
