Thomas Joseph McKinley

Thomas Joseph McKinley, 89 years of age passed away at his home on July 1, 2020. He was born on March 13, 1931 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Homer and Mary Olivia (Ems) McKinley. Tom was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and was the former owner and operator of McKinley and Sons Construction. He was a second degree black belt in Taekwondo and a member St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, George McKinley and Fred McKinley. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Joanne Combs McKinley; children, Mickey Hicks (Barry), Mike McKinley (Kathleen), Mary Kay Mattingly (Ronald), Matt McKinley (Karen), Margie Blair (Scott), Marc McKinley (Mindy); 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 am Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 216 Scheller Avenue, Sellersburg, Indiana with burial and military honors to follow at New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
