Thurman Conrad

Thurman was born on June 8, 1934, to the Late Thurman Conrad, Sr., and Elizabeth (Adams) Conrad of Georgetown, IN.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Jean Dierth, and brother, Robert Conrad.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Clarice (Vernia) Conrad, and two sons, Mark Conrad and Gregory Conrad (Kelly), five granddaughters, one grandson, and six great-grandchildren.

Thurman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and member of Graceland Church where he served for many years as an Elder. He was a strong man of God who never hesitated to pray for people, spent many years alongside his wife ministering at nursing homes, visiting people, and spending countless hours in prayer for loved ones and friends. He retired in 1995 from a career as a Kroger store manager, and most recently opened the State Street location. He lived a rich, full life with remarkable grace and strength.

We will celebrate his life on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kraft Graceland-Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47172. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM following visitation with burial to follow at Abundant Life Cemetery on Kamer-Miller Road.
