Thurnia Decker, 72 years of age died Sunday August 20, 2017. He was born September 18, 1944 in Caneyville, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Zella (Bryant) Decker. Thurnia formerly worked many years for the old New Albany Plumbing Company until it’s closing and after for D.R. Jones Plumbing Company. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Esther (Hazelwood) Decker; brother, Sherman Decker; many nieces and nephews; and his favorite pet “Patches”.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, August 24th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 25th, at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
