Tony was a talented artist in many forms, from woodworking and painting to sheet metal creations. He was a longtime, retired sheet metal worker. Tony had an interest in genealogy, through which he discovered and connected with family members. He found great joy in nature and fishing at Patoka Lake. Above all, he was caring and supportive to his family and a true friend to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Sue Marsh; children, Shellie Marsh & Tony Ray Marsh Jr.; Grandson, Maxwell Hirschfield; and family in Southern Indiana & Tennessee.
Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Baird Fortin and her husband, Roland Fortin.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to U of L Trauma Team, Neurosurgery ENT, as well as the Emergency Room Staff, and nursing staff of 9 West ICU for their exceptional and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of choice in Tony's memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home (2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Tony will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
