I met Verlene when my mother was a patient at Westminster. Not only did she love and care for her but Verlene became a friend to my family. Her concern went beyond the walls of the facility. When my husband was ill, she would call to chat and give encouragement. When he passed away, Verlene checked on my daughter and I offering support. Verlene's love for her family was evident as she shared stories with us. The world is a better place as she added so much with her stories, laughter, love and kindness plus empathy for others. My family and I were privileged to know her.
