Virgil Jackson, 86 years of age passed away on January 13, 2021. He was born January 8, 1935 to the late Kelly and Rosa Jackson. Virgil was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War, was the founder of Cannon Realty, and was former president of the Southern Indiana Board of Realtors. He was a member of Stony Point Christian Church in Charlestown, American Legion Post #204 in Sellersburg, and a longtime member the Cardiac Rehab Club. He will be remembered for loving his country, traveling the country in his RV, playing poker and Euchre, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jackson; daughter, Linda Jackson-Bailey (Thomas); brother, Kelly Jackson; sister, Denise Belanger; grandsons, Nicholas Rosenberger, Eric Rosenberger, Blake Bailey, Shawn Bailey; great grandchildren, Xander, Kamrin, Nolin, Kay, Zaylee; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service with military honors will be held 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
