VIRGINIA GLADYS JONES, 94, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 12, 2016. The daughter of the late Carl and Vina Sheckell Atwood, Virginia was born July 18, 1921 in Alton, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Jones; siblings, Vernia McCollum and Vollie Atwood.
Survivors include her sons, Richard R. Jones (Marilyn) and Keith A. Jones (Beverly); grandchildren, Ricky Jones, Kevin Jones, Beth Ott (George), Ginny Dean (Rick), Eric Jones, Missy Jones, and Jennifer Jones; brother, Bev Atwood; sister, Lilly LuAllen; 13 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm Monday and after 10 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be 11 am Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
