VIRGINIA LOU (JAEGERS) HAGMANN, 88, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. The daughter of the late Virginia (Huckeby) and Raymond L. Jaegers, Sr., Virginia was born July 30, 1928 in New Albany, IN. She retired from the New Albany/Floyd County School System and was a member of Central Christian Church in New Albany. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arthur W. “Art” Hagmann in 2014; and a brother, Raymond “Buddy” Jaegers, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth “Beth” (Elwood) Lynn, William “Bill” Hagmann, and Albert “Bert” (Kate) Hagmann; sister, Carolyn “Kicky” (Don) Thom; grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Hamlin, Paul (Katie) Hagmann, William (Lana) Lynn, and Elyse Lynn; and great grandchildren, Charli, Ashlee, Blake, Harrison, Claire, and Eleanor.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
