Very sorry to hear of the passing of Wes Porter, a truly good person. We can take comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of God. Wes was my 4th grade teacher at Borden, a 'few' years ago. I can't say that remember a lot about being in class (I'm sure I wasn't paying attention), but I have for my entire life remembered what a quality person Wes Porter was in this world. We didn't talk a lot thru the years, but when we did, I always felt better just by talking to him. My thoughts and prayers a with you. Bruce Callam

Wes was one of the kindest, gentlest, most caring people I ever knew. He excelled at all he did. But most of all, he excelled as a teacher. I remember his days at Borden and am thankful that he was one of my teachers. He left a lasting impression on me. I just hope he (and his family) know what an awesome legacy he left behind. He really did make the world a better place.
