William S. Edens

William S. “Billy” Edens, 90 years of age, and former resident of New Albany, Indiana, died Friday, June 4, 2021. The son of the late Clyde and Joyce (Click) Edens, Bill was born June 12, 1930 in Tazewell, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having bravely served during the Korean War. He worked as security officer many years, was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Kentucky Chapter 155, the Fraternal Order of Police, and was a Mason with the Jeffersonville Indiana Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster brother, Wm. Howard Parker.

He is survived by his children, Darrell W. Edens, Danny Ray Edens, Donna L. Weston (Gary), and Sherry L. Hamm (Bill); 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and his sister, Freida Morrison.

Visitation will be 12 pm ~ 2 pm Tuesday, June 8th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. His Funeral Service and Military Honors will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.

My Dad was one of a kind always cutting up with ya. Dad was a talker never couldn't meet some one he couldn't talk or try too. Dad we surly been thru rough times together ill always remember you the way you where. I will miss Dad but in my heart and mind truly know Dads watching and smiling at us from the heavens. Lov you Dad❤

Every memory I have of Bill was special. It was always a wonderful pleasure to see him. I loved his humor, his laughter, his smile. I especially loved his sass. . He was loved by all and will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.
