Bill assisted "Mr. Lewis" as a grade school basketball coach of mine at McCulloch Grade School in 1963 and 1964, when I was a 7th & 8th grader. He was always positive, had a smile on his face, and was always happy and enjoying life. He was a very positive influence on me, and was an excellent coach of young kids. Several years later, I remember him sitting in the stands at Clarksville H.S. basketball games as well, cheering on the Generals and his children's school. From the pictures at Kraft's, he led a wonderful and full life. Family should be very proud of him - he was a very positive influence on everyone around him. Thank you for the opportunity to share my memories. Sincerely, Dennis Barry

I am so sorry to here of Bill's passing. I was out of town when it happened. My prayers go out to you, the Family. I dare say that as a member of the elite Dirty Dozen, the trips to Patoka Lake stand out as one of the foremost highlights of my life. I still see them as happening only yesterday. Bill was such a joy to be around.................Dave Hakel

So sorry to hear of Mr. Embrey's passing. As a McCulloch student and later staff member I was able to serve with him on the McCulloch Scholarship Fund. He was a wonderful example of a leader.

Bill was absolutely a great man. He loved family and wanted to do everything he could for the kids of the community. He unilaterally started the Little Generals Basketball program and I considered him a good friend and assistant. I am extremely sorry that I can't be at Kraft to mourn and celebrate with family and friends. He will be missed. Prayers from the Beyers family.
