William "Will" Hood

William "Will" Hood, age 81, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Will was born on November 6, 1943, in Munfordville, Kentucky, to the late Delbert and Lena Hood. Will was proud of his career, for over 30 years, he was a Cefesa-certified Master Technician for Ecolab. He was certified in gas, electric, refrigeration, and steam. Will graduated from Aaron's Trade School and also went to school to become an architect. He was an avid woodworker and loved anything to do with building from wood. He truly was a Jack of All Trades. Will loved true crime shows and loved spending time and working in his workshop, which he built himself. He enjoyed making home improvements, landscaping, and being outside, except during the winter months.

Will is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Lena (Vance) Hood; brothers, Delbert Hood Jr. and Kenneth Hood; and his sister, Edith Druen.

Will is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Hood; son, John Hood; Daughters, Michelle "Micki" (Lee) Monchamp and Yvonne (Todd) Harrison; Granddaughters, Christen (Tim) Simmons, Vanessa Rosa, Alaina Harrison, and Anna Harrison; Grandson, Zachary "Zac" (Sade) Hardy; Great Grandchildren, C.J. Simmons, Caydance Simmons, and Cameron Hardy; and his brother, Philip R. Hood.

Will Loved his Wife and Family very much and was always extremely happy to see them.

A Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Will's Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 PM.
