He was a native of Jeffersonville, IN and retired from Bob Hook Chevrolet in Louisville.
Survivors include: sons, William D. Sparks, Jr., Mark A. Sparks; sisters, Cathy Widener and Dee Flanders; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be noon on Friday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - noon on Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN.
