Willis E. Nickell, 91 years of age died Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, Indiana. He was born November 12, 1926 in Rochester, Indiana to the late Earl and Loreen Nickell. Willis was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a retired inspector for the USDA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis, and son-in-law, Tim Simko.
Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Simko; son, Steve Nickell (Jan); brother, Cecil Nickell (Bonnie); 5 grandchildren, Lynda Aranowski (Jon), Susan Whitesel (Troy), Nancy Mastagh (Chad), J.W. Nickell (Chelsy), Jeffrey Nickell (Kaycee); 12 great grandchildren; nephews, Andy Nickell (Lisa), David Nickell (Dorothy).
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm ~ 3:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
