WILMA L. (STOOPS) McCARTY, 85 years of age, died Friday, February 24, 2012. Wilma was born March 24, 1926 in Tipton, Indiana to the late Roscoe and Clara Gladys (Coe) Stoops. She was a homemaker and member of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don McCarty, and brothers, Carroll and Bob Stoops.
She will be missed by her children, Jan King (Kenny) of Madison IN, Mark McCarty (Debbie) of Sellersburg IN, Chris McCarty (Charlotte) of New Albany IN, Mike McCarty (Becky) of Clarksville IN, Kent McCarty of Clarksville IN and Kay McCarty of Madison IN; brother, Jerry Stoops (Esther) of Concord NC; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Monday and after 9:00 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow in Abundant Life Cemetery, New Albany.
