I remember getting a chance to get to experience wyatt’s incredibly kind heart our first visit to gulf shores with baby Helena. He was so intently attentive and caring to her. It was more than just being nice and Thinking she was cute- he’d go out of his way to play with her, keep an eye on her, and even walked her down to the water at one point. He was probably 10 and i still remember his incredible kindness and interest in the baby. That moment had a deep impact on me and my impression of him. I just wanted to share that he held a spot in my heart and memory that was surrounded in warmth.

Amy, I knew Wyatt so well through your beaming face when you talk about him and your love for him, your experience becoming his mom, and how much he added joy to your life.

You are on my mind and heart and I shed tears along with you. May my grief lift some weight from yours. The mother I am is broken and hurting for you and your family.

Sending every bit of love I can into your soul.

I am blessed to be able to have a few memories of Wyatt from our days and trips together with Navilleton’s Youth Group. From listening to serious talks about Faith and Sports at National conferences, working fundraisers at church, to helping those in need in Appalachia, and square dancing with the locals in Eastern Kentucky. He was a great kid and always willing to help! He was a kid that when he got out of the car, it made your day that he was there with you!

I was always glad to see Wyatt and I hope he felt the same way about me.
I had the good fortune to spend a Spring Break Week with Wyatt and Luis some years ago at their Grandmother Carol’s beach condo. Vivid memories include the brothers taking a twilight walk with me along the shore, retrieving my putt-putt golf balls that I’d hit off the course, laughing at my jokes even when they weren’t funny, and patiently teaching me to play a new card game. I am so happy to have had that special time with them.
Wyatt was always a true “gentle”-man.
My deep love and support go out to our entire grieving family.
