Pauline D. Chace, 81, of New Bedford, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jonathan L. Chace with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage.
She was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy.
Mrs. Chace had worked as a supervisor for Comm Electric until her retirement.
Pauline was a volunteer at St. John Neumann Church and enjoyed playing dominos every Tuesday with her church friends. She was a former member of the St. Mary’s Golden Ages of Fairhaven, Past President of the Comm Electric Retirees and was always a high fund raiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Surviving in addition to her husband Jonathan are her cousins, Dr. Russell Davignon and Dr. Philip Davignon of Vermont; her cousin, Bernadette Mendes of New Bedford; her nieces and nephews from the Karalekas, Holstrom, Crump and Blumberg families; and her many dear friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., E. Freetown followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
