Albert Audet

Albert Audet, 88, of E. Freetown passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness and three days shy of his 89th birthday. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Labbe) Audet.

Born in Saint Germain, Quebec, a son of the late Eugene and Alexandrine (Vien) Audet he grew up there and lived most of his life in this area.

Mr. Audet worked many jobs as a laborer including Freetown Elementary School. He was an excellent cook and renowned for his pie crusts.

He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Audet of E. Freetown; a son, Paul Audet of E. Freetown; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 9 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or www.cancer.org.
