Born in Acushnet, a son of the late Alfred V. and Margaret K. (Vartanian) Samson, he was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Alfred was employed as a truck driver prior to his retirement.
Alfred loved his two son’s above all else. He was an avid Fisherman, NASCAR and New England sports fan. He loved his dog Samson and enjoyed riding his bike.
In addition to wife Catherine, he is survived by his sons, Michael Samson and Trevor Samson both of New Bedford; a sister Linda Samson of New Bedford; a brother, Daniel Samson and his partner Julie Phaneuf of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Judy Samson.
