Ana M. (Tavares Medeiros) Cabral, 68, of New Bedford passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Amancio Cabral.
Born in the Azores, a daughter of the late John and Maria Medeiros she lived most of her life in New Bedford. Mrs. Cabral was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and she worked as a stitcher at Elco for several years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Pytka of E. Providence; a son, Michael Cabral and his wife Elizabeth of New Bedford; she also leaves behind seven siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
