Born in the Azores, Portugal, a daughter of the late Sabino E. and Anna M. (Silveira) Da Silveira. She was a long time resident of Acushnet. Ana was a nurse’s aide at the Sacred Heart Home prior to her retirement and was a supervisor for many years in the garment industry.
Ana loved her family dearly; she loved to paint and create. She came to the United States to become a hair stylist, but became an extremely talented seamstress and tailor, creating many exquisite pieces of clothing and quilts.
She is survived by her daughter Anna Fumo of Acushnet; her grandchildren, Ariel Fumo, Amy Faria, Anthony Fumo, Jr. Cecilia, David and Daveena Fumo; and a brother, Sabino Da Silveira and his wife Sylvina of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Loury Smith, Anthony Fumo and Dave Fumo and sister of the late Antonio Da Silveira and Maria R. Borba.
