

Angela L. Cournoyer, age 41, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 5, 2015. She was the mother of Joshua J. Vasconcellos and daughter of Albert L. and Maureen C. (Hebert) Cournoyer of New Bedford.
Angela was a lifelong resident of New Bedford, attended St. Anthony’s Elementary School, Greater New Bedford Vocational School and New Bedford High School. Angela had a passion for horror movies and gaming and she enjoyed becoming her character in World of Warcraft but the true love of her life was her son Joshua. He is her most treasured accomplishment and what made her most proud. Angela had a deep connection with her family and she enjoyed spending every moment she could with them at family gatherings or in just everyday life. She was her parents’ “BABYGIRL” and the spirit of her family.
In addition to her son and parents she also leaves a sister, Kellie A. Machado and her husband Patrick of Acushnet, a niece and goddaughter, Holly Miller of Acushnet, maternal grandmother, Margaret Hebert of So. Dartmouth, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was also the granddaughter of the late Arthur Hebert and Leo and Yvonne Cournoyer.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 4 pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
