Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late John and Isadora (Lopes) Gonsalves, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Hickerson had worked at Woolworth’s, Aerovox and the Daisy Corporation.
Anna was very talented and creative in all aspects of arts and crafts which she loved to create in her spare time. She was always searching for a bargain.
Her family includes her son, Hershel Hickerson and her daughter, Hillann Hickerson of New Bedford and her two grandchildren, Steven and Kaylee Hickerson. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 9-11am with a Funeral Service at 11am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
